Initiative Meeting Between ISDE, KSGE, and TAGE
Seoul, South Korea – On August 17, 2024, a landmark meeting was held at the Westin Chosun Hotel, bringing together key representatives from the Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (KSGE), the Thai Association for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (TAGE), and the Indonesian Society for Digestive Endoscopy (ISDE). The gathering marked a significant step towards strengthening regional collaboration in the fields of education and research related to gastrointestinal endoscopy.
This initiative meeting aimed at fostering closer ties between the three societies, focusing on sharing knowledge, enhancing training programs, and spearheading joint research initiatives that will advance the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy across their respective countries.
Among the distinguished attendees were Dr. Achmad Fauzi, MD, PhD, the President of ISDE, and Dr. Rabbinu Rangga Pribadi, MD, the General Secretary of ISDE. Their participation underscored ISDE’s commitment to contributing to and benefiting from this collaborative effort.
The discussions at the meeting were centered on establishing structured programs that would facilitate knowledge exchange and capacity building. The societies also explored opportunities for co-hosting regional conferences and workshops, further solidifying their partnership.
