
4th A-PSDE TAGE Advanced Course in conjunction with Chulalongkorn Endoscopy Short Course (CESCO) & Maharaj Live
Bangkok, Thailand – Dr. Achmad Fauzi, SpPD, K-GEH, FINASIM (Jakarta) and Dr. Husin Thamrin, SpPD, K-GEH, FINASIM (Surabaya) represented the Indonesian Society for Digestive Endoscopy (ISDE) as delegates at the 4th A-PSDE TAGE Advanced Course, held on August 21–23, 2025, in Bangkok and Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. This program is a regular event organized by the Asian-Pacific Society for Digestive Endoscopy (A-PSDE) in collaboration with the Thai Association for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (TAGE), aiming to enhance skills and increase the number of professional endoscopists across the Asia-Pacific region.
The event was attended by leading experts in gastrointestinal endoscopy, including Prof. Hsiu Po Wang (Taiwan), Prof. Hiroyuki Isayama (Japan), Prof. Dongwan Seo (South Korea), Prof. Christopher Khor (Singapore), along with several specialists from Thailand.

On August 21, the program opened with welcome remarks from Prof. Seigo Kitano and Prof. Rungsun Rerknimitr, followed by the first lecture sessions covering topics such as pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms, pancreatic cyst ablation, and advanced ERCP-EUS techniques. The next session featured the Masterclass on Endoscopic Pearls & Pitfalls and a hands-on workshop on EUS procedures.

On the second day, activities continued at Maharaj Hospital, Nakhon Ratchasima, where participants took part in live case endoscopy, showcasing advanced procedures performed by expert teams. Meanwhile, on the third day, participants engaged in interactive case discussions and expert debates, addressing challenging cases from their own clinical experiences. The event concluded with the presentation of certificates to all participants.
By combining lectures, live demonstrations, and intensive hands-on practice, the 4th A-PSDE TAGE Advanced Course served as a vital platform to advance endoscopic competence in the Asia-Pacific region, while also strengthening international collaboration to improve healthcare services, particularly in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy.
