1. Prepare a backup driver
For travelers who carry private vehicles, there needs to be some family members or spare drivers who are ready to take the vehicle alternately. This is to avoid fatigue when driving.
2. Stay relaxed during the trip
At the rest area, take advantage of the time for light exercise such as doing relaxation movements on the feet, hands and neck. In addition, urination also needs to be done to avoid infection due to holding urine too long.
3. Travel in the morning or evening
Traveling early in the morning or evening can be the right choice because the temperatures are cooler and the streets are more relaxed.
4. Take care of food and drinks
Avoid buying food and drinks on the roadside considering the quality that is not necessarily maintained due to exposure to heat. Especially for home-made food and drinks. For travelers who will bring food, try to bring dry food. If you still want to bring wet food, rice, or side dishes, make sure not to consume more than 6-8 hours from the time of manufacture.
5. Preparing medicines
For travelers who suffer from chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, high cholesterol, and gout, it is necessary to bring medicines that are routinely consumed. Whereas for travelers who do not suffer from a special disease, simply bring simple medicines such as anti-diarrhea drugs, allergies, headaches, and nausea and vomiting.
6. Avoid overloading
Avoid carrying excessive luggage. If you want to bring souvenirs in large quantities, it’s better to pack them first.
7. Use technology
In order to avoid stress due to traffic jams, monitor the density and choose alternative travel routes need to be done. In this case, we can take advantage of Google Maps or Waze application technology from cellular phones.
