ISDE Delegates Participate in the 3rd A-PSDE TAGE Advanced Course in Thailand

Bangkok, Thailand – Two representatives from the Indonesian Society for Digestive Endoscopy (ISDE), Dr. Fardah Akil (Makassar) and Dr. Saskia Aziza (Jakarta), joined the 3rd APSDE TAGE Advanced Course held on March 6-9, 2025, in Thailand. The event, organized by the Asian-Pacific Society for Digestive Endoscopy (A-PSDE) and the Thai Association for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (TAGE), brought together endoscopists from across the Asia-Pacific region to enhance their skills and stay updated on the latest advancements.

The course began on March 6 with a live case observation at Chulalongkorn Hospital, Bangkok, where participants watched expert-led procedures in real-time. The program continued on March 7-8 with the TAGE Annual Congress in Hua Hin, featuring scientific discussions on Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and therapeutic endoscopy.

Documentation hands-on training

On the final day, March 9, participants returned to Bangkok for hands-on training at Olympus T-Tec, engaging in practical workshops and patient demonstrations to refine their technical skills.

Through this international training, PEGI representatives are expected to bring back valuable expertise to enhance endoscopy practices in Indonesia, ensuring better patient care and the advancement of the field.
