Indonesian Society for Digestive Endoscopy (ISDE) Board for the 2023-2026 Term Officially Inaugurated
Jakarta, May 12, 2024 – The new board of the Indonesian Society for Digestive Endoscopy (ISDE) for the 2023-2026 term was officially inaugurated on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at the IDI Secretariat Office. The inauguration was led by the President of the Indonesian Medical Association (IDI), Dr. Moh. Adib Khumaidi, SpOT, and attended by the Chairman of the IDI Professional Service Development Council (MPPK), Dr. Ika Prasetya Wijaya, SpPD, K-KV, FINASIM, FACP, FICA, along with Professors of Gastroenterohepatology.
The ceremony was attended by notable figures in the healthcare field, including Professors of Gastroenterohepatology, Professors of Pediatric Gastrohepatology, Gastroenterohepatology Consultants, and Endoscopic Internists. The ceremony proceeded solemnly, reflecting the commitment and dedication of the new board members in fulfilling their duties.
The inauguration ceremony began with the reading of the IDI Executive Board Decree on the Composition of the ISDE Board for the 2023-2026 term, followed by the oath of office administered directly by the President of IDI. This was then followed by the signing of the handover document from the outgoing ISDE President for the 2019-2022 term, Prof. Dr. Ari Fahrial Syam, SpPD, K-GEH, MMB, PhD, FACG, FACP, FINASIM, to the incoming ISDE President for the 2023-2026 term, Dr. Achmad Fauzi, SpPD, K-GEH, FINASIM.

In his speech, Dr. Achmad Fauzi expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and affirmed his commitment to advancing ISDE. “We are committed to continuing and enhancing the quality of gastrointestinal endoscopy services in Indonesia and strengthening collaborations with various stakeholders for the betterment of this field,” he stated.
With this inauguration, the new ISDE board officially assumes their responsibilities for the 2023-2026 term. It is hoped that under the leadership of Dr. Achmad Fauzi, ISDE will continue to contribute to improving the quality of healthcare, particularly in the field of gastrointestinal endoscopy in Indonesia.
