Alert, These are the Foods which Could Triggers Intestinal Cancer!
The intestine is an organ that functions to digest food and drink intake. Therefore, intestinal health can be influenced by the type of food intake and the diet. As stated by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia, Prof. Ari Fahrial Syam, MD, PhD, MMB, FACP, that genetic factors, eating unhealthy snacks, lack of eating vegetables and fruit, smoking, alcohol consumption, and obesity are risk factors of colon cancer.
Eating unhealthy snacks can be one of the triggers of intestinal cancer because sometimes, street food are not sold in a clean condition. Even sometimes, street food are contained dangerous food additives such as borax and formalin. Meanwhile for other food additives such as artificial sugar, preservatives and flavoring foods, and soda actually allowed to be consumed as long as it is not excessive and is an official product that has marketing authorization from BPOM.
The risk factors that have been identified and are consistent in various studies including research in Indonesia are the high consumption of red meat and processed meat, and the lack of eating vegetables and fruits. According to Prof. Ari, red meat has more complex components of amino acids, fiber, and fat than white meat. This causes red meat is harder to digest than fish and chicken.
So, avoid these risk factors, PEGI fellas, so that your intestinal health is maintained.
